Two projects made in Geocart have been resulted eligible for funding under two public calls for supporting innovative ideas and projects. They are “Digital LightHouse", focused on the development of virtual reality and accurate digital visual effects, and “Augmented Reality", aimed to implement tools to enrich the sensory experience of the customer using remote sensing data.

Particularly, the project Digital LightHouse has earned the top spot in the list of candidate projects. Innovation continues to be the focus of the activity of research and development of the company, which collects this result with the satisfaction of those who intend to continue, with conviction, their journey to reach the real innovation.

“GEOCART EFFECT” AT RESTARTSUD

We had talked about ourselves at the second edition of “ReStartSud - Il Viaggio nella terra dell’innovazione: il Sud”, that was held from 24 to 26 September 2014 in Basilicata. ReStartSud is an original initiative that reached the second edition, aimed at promoting the culture of enterprise and innovation, through the involvement of the territory and its best aspects.

On 25 September, during the second stage of the event Nuovo#CinemaDigitale (New Digital Cinema) at Sala Incontro in Bernalda (MT), Geocart presented the results of the ongoing experimentation in the sector of visual effects in the movie sector, with the Digital LightHouse Project. This time innovation deals with the world of cinema, with a research project developed in the field of virtual reality, aimed at introducing important new elements in the world of Italian and international cinema.

The project presentation was supported by the show of an amazing video mapping, carried out by the collaboration of Andrew Quinn, international expert of special effects, who has been collaborating for many years with the most important movie production enterprises.

Geocart, which participated in the initiative as partner, presented the Digital LightHouse Project even at #Restarcamp, which took place on 26 September at Teatro Stabile in Potenza.
